Day 1: (Thursday) Overnight international flight to Egypt.
Day 2:
Transfer to the 5* SOFITEL LE SPHINX Hotel or similar for 2 nights
with breakfast daily
Day 3:
After breakfast at the hotel enjoy a full day tour to visit the
Egyptian museum, Pyramids, Sphinx, camel ride and Papyrus Institute.
Day 4:
After breakfast at hotel enjoy a day at leisure with optional tours
In the evening transfer to the train station to take the sleeper
train with dinner & breakfast to Aswan. (Or domestic flight to
Aswan)
Day 5:
(Mondays) Upon arrival at Luxor train station, you will be
transferred to your Deluxe Nile Cruise Boat for a
4-day/3-night Nile cruise.
Accommodations aboard will consist of an Outside Junior Suite Cabin
with private facilities. Cross the Nile to the West Bank. Visit the
Necropolis of Thebes, Colossi of Memnon, Queen Hatshepsut Funerary
Temple, and the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Optional Sound
and Light Show available this evening. Overnight on board. (L/D)
Day 6: Visit Luxor Temple dedicated to the god Amon-Ra. It was expanded
by Ramses II, who added statues of himself. Visit the magnificent
Karnak Temple. Sail to Edfu. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
Day 7: Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the best
preserved of all the large Egyptian Temples. Sail to Kom Ombo. Visit
Kom Ombo Temple. Sail to Aswan. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
Day 8:
This morning, sail by felucca to view Elephantine Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Continue with visits to the Aswan High Dam, the
granite quarries and the unfinished Obelisk, and Philae's Temple of
Isis. Disembark the cruise in Aswan. Optional Abu Simbel Tour
($285). Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. (B)
Arrive in Cairo and transfer to the SOFITEL LE SPHINX hotel for 2
nights in double accommodations with breakfast daily, Day 8,9.

After Bkfst, the day is free for optional day tour to
Alexandria ($185) (Helnan

Day 10: AMMAN Transfer to the airport to fly from Cairo to Amman, Jordan.
Upon arrival transfer to the GOLDEN TULIP Hotel in double
accommodations in AMMAN for overnight, with breakfast daily.
Day 11: AMMAN - PETRA. After a morning panoramic tour of Amman, we will make
our way to Petra. Drive to Mt. Nebo, where tradition says Moses clibed to see the Promised Land, and where he is presumed buried.
Continue to Madaba. Visit the Churchof St. George with its vivid 6th
century Byzantine map created of Mosaic tiles depicting Jerusalem
and other holy sites. Continuing we drive via Wadi Mujib, a
precipitious canyon to Kerak Castle with its maze of stone-vaulted
halls and endless passageways, from the time of the Crusaders.
Arrive in Petra and stay at the GOLDEN TULIP PETRA hotel in double
accommodations with breakfast daily for 2 nights.
Day 12: Petra Full day tour. Located approximately 160 miles south
of Amman, the city of Petra is surrounded by towering hills of
rust-colored sandstone and is now a UNESCO world heritage site.
Explore the massive architecture of temples, arched gateways and
colonnaded streets; see why Petra is considered the most gorgeous
site in Jordan. Set off on a two hour jeep tour of Wadi Rum, known
for its sheer granite and sandstone cliffs. Take the trip into the "rese
red" city begins at the "Siq," a winding canyon road. At the end of
the passage is Petra’s most impressive monument – the Treasury –
carved out of solid rock from the side of the mountain. Beyond the
Treasury, discover soaring temples, elaborate royal tombs, a
theatre, burial chambers, water channels and reservoirs. Farewell
dinner after the tour. Optional visit to the Dead Sea.
Visit Wadi Ru and two hour jeep tour; afternoon transfer to Dead Sea
Hotel check-in & overnight . DEAD SEA - The Dead Sea is 45 miles
long and from 4 to 10 miles wide, and consists entirely of plant and
animal life. Also known as the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea
is today an important and rich source of minerals essential to the
agricultural and industrial development. Morning at leisure; evening
transfer to Amman for your flight to Cairo. Hotel check-in.
Day 13: PETRA - AMMAN. Return to Amman and stay at the Golden Tulip Hotel in
double accommodations with breakfast for overnight. Afternoon at
leisure.
Day 14: After breakfast at the hotel, fly home.
