**Following Rome, Florence Official Board decided to apply a city tax to all overnight stays - this tax has been approved on June 20th, but will be effective from 01st July 2011. 5€ per night per person in 5 stars Hotels; 4€ in 4stars Hotels; 3€ 3stars Hotels. This Tax is compulsory and has to be paid directly cash to the Hotel by clients.

***It Is Official: Effective Jan 1, 2011 there will be a per person fee of 2 or 3 euro per night respectively for 3 and 4/5 star hotels in Rome to be paid at time of check-in. Please inquire for further details.***
